Under the guidance of Ted Rainbow, EJ Upholstery, the small upholstery
workshop he established in Leyton, London in 1975 has grown in reputation
and size.
Having completed an arduous upholsterer apprenticeship, Mr Edward James
Rainbow started an upholstery workroom in Leyton, London, EJ Upholstery,
to satisfy local demand. As his business grew, he imposed the same exacting
standards he has made his own onto each member of his team and his suppliers.
And so, the reputation of his craftsmanship extended beyond the local
London area. To be able to continue the tradition of bespoke upholstery
and re-upholstery, Ted decided he would confine the business to a family
size one. He has been joined by his son Kevin, now an important force
behind the developing EJ Upholstery.
EJ Upholstery can today boast a growing international clientele who by
their loyalty bring testimony to the excellence Ted, Kevin and their team
bring to any project undertaken, be it for major city institutions, substantial
hotel groups, private customers or designers.
EJ Upholstery now operates from modern premises with a showroom. Customers
are welcome to see their furniture being progressed in the London workroom
and browse through over 300 fabric pattern books.
